christmas recap in photos

Christmas 2013 likely will be remembered as one of my most memorable Christmas's yet.  I'm still soaking in all of the time I have with Oscar and Aubrey, not feeling the pressure (yet) to work. But before the clock strikes midnight on December 31st, I wanted to recap in photos the last week. Ice Storms, loss of heat, electricity - but all of the moments with family and thankfully, everyone is healthy.  The next post will be in 2014 - I hope you all have a wonderful New Year's Eve.

Santa really focused on Oscar this year - but a certain fellow may have bought me some beautiful pearl earrings and some lovely Lancome products. Are we the only people that say to each other that we're not going to do gifts and then totally buy gifts? It always works out that way for us.  I gave Aubrey this. Because we adore that man, and that song.

DIY Weekend Projects

It's been a few weeks since I've shared some of my favorite DIY projects that can be done in a weekend, and I've got quite the arsenal of things to share. As you can tell, I'm still dreaming of decoration even though we're still deep in our remodel. Boy, I can't wait until I get to hang up some wallpaper pictures.

We're back!

And...we're back from vacation all relaxed and tan. I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing Christmas. I don't have anything planned for today's post, so I'll just share a few of our vacay pictures from Mexico.

The trip was absolutely wonderful. We flew first class there, had no troubles (which is very uncomon for our travels) and did nothing but drink and relax on the beach. Amazing!

merry christmas from the icy city of Toronto

Merry Christmas from us over here to you. We've been thrown for a loop as we were without power due to the ice storm that hit Toronto. My Mom came and rescued Oscar and I, only for her power to go out that night too. We stayed over with her as she has gas stoves and, fireplaces - so the lack of heat wasn't too severe. Since then our power is now back on but Mom sadly still is without. So we're juggling how Christmas will unfold - trying to maintain senses of humors. I keep joking that this is National Lampoons Christmas vacation over here. Ugh. Anyhow, the presents are wrapped, Oscar is excited for tomorrow, and we may be ordering in Chinese Food. :)  Hugs to all.
