Just some progress shots of the demo....Aubrey removed four layers of vinyl flooring yesterday. It was a huge task. Although you could hire someone to do this (like your flooring company) it saves you a huge amount of money to do labour like this on your own. Midway through the day the new flooring was delivered and today is the day that we are having it being installed, sanded, and stained to match the rest of the floor in our home. (We've hired Scott to do it - he's the one who did our entire house when we moved in 3.5 years ago)
The blue tape shows where our cabinetry is going - to save on costs we're only paying attention to the areas of the floors you will see. Why pay to install gorgeous hardwood under cabinetry. Seems like a waste.
