Home Tour, pre-renovation

Until today, I haven't shared pictures of every room in our house. This has been very intentional because we've spent zero effort beyond the living/dining rooms and a little in the master bedroom.

The other rooms in our house are raw and untouched. Between wear and tear from our renters and the rooms now acting as storage rooms until we cleaned out our garage, these rooms haven't gotten any love since we moved back into the house last September.  But in the effort of some kick ass before and after photos, I'm mustering up the courage to share before current photos of our entire house.

A lot of our updating in these rooms will come during our renovation starting mid-October, banning any budget busters that pop up like termites, bad electrical, etc... (I'm knocking on wood right after I type this.)

So let's get started.

Here's the plan showing how the upstairs and main level are currently laid out vs. our plans for the future renovation. If you'd like to see more detail on our bedroom renovation plans, check out this post.  

Note: I also included the dotted lines on the before photo, which are the walls that we knocked out back in November to open the space up and allow us to have a space that didn't drive us insane.

Then here are a few shots of each room as they currently stand - many of which have lots of updates to come in the next year.

So now let's move onto the basement. If you take a sharp left from the front door, you'll walk down the stairs into our teeny, tiny basement.
