Trend, Geodes in Home Decor

I sometimes get something in my brain sometimes and obsess over finding it. I've been seeing Geodes in home decor over the last year and think it's pretty darn cool. Is it called Geodes? Or crystals? I'm feeling a bit dumb when it comes to what you actually call them. Anyways, I'm not sure I could ever buy a monster piece for our house, as I'm sure it would become a home for Oscar's cars but I've lately spotted smaller pieces that can likely be incorporated better into a home like ours. Above are some shots of the pieces in homes, and I wish I could find the one that I recently saw in Elle Decor but alas, I can't find it.

In New York I spotted a booth full of them - I especially loved the book ends. Wouldn't that be a gorgeous pop of colour in a room?

I was so obsessed I even snapped some photos of amethyst at FAO while in New York. Budget friendly way to get the look for less. HA.

At the HomeSense preview I spotted two more signs of the Geode trend being in full swing - framed stones and gorgeous coasters. If I spot these at HomeSense I am buying it ALL.  Anyhow, just something I'm currently obsessed with!
