Inspiring... but all the same...

Enjoying some nice real estate inspiration from <a href="http://www.stadshem.se/till-salu" target="_blank">Stadshem</a> tonight... Home staging is a great, but why do all apartments have to look the same? These photos are from several different apartments...Personally I like this neutral white-grey-wood-black palette very much, but surely there must be other hues that are just as "commercial"?<br /><br /><i>Je m'inspire sur le site immobilier <a href="http://www.stadshem.se/till-salu" target="_blank">Stadshem</a> ce soir...

How to make a white kitchen look welcoming and cosy? By adding natural materials, greenery, warm (and trendy) colours and materials like grey and copper, or by working with shapes and structures... <a href="http://www.daniellawitte.se/" target="_blank">Daniella Witte</a> created these inspiration pictures for the previous issue of Swedish <a href="http://elledecoration.se/" target="_blank">Elle Decoration</a> and I'm so happy she just uploaded the photos to <a href="http://www.daniellawitte.se/portfolio/" target="_blank">her portfolio</a> too! Organized clutter

With a natural colour palette in wood, black and white, you can gather quite a lot of items without making a cluttered impression. Take this apartment for example, located in Malmö, Sweden, and belonging to an interior designer. I fell for the dining room with its large windows, open shelving, green plants and mix of chairs around the table. Bye bye white walls!

You might have seen this apartment around already, but I'm showing it here anyway because it's a great example of what is happening in Scandinavia right now (well at least in Sweden): bye bye white walls, hello dark colours! Remember <a href="http://lamaisondannag.blogspot.fr/2014/09/scandinavian-kitchen-trends.html" target="_blank">this post</a> about darker colours in the kitchen? Ou de <a href="http://lamaisondannag.blogspot.fr/2014/11/1-apartment-3-styles.html" target="_blank">cet appartement</a> relooké en 3 styles différents?</i><br /><i>Et bien, les murs en nuances éteintes de bleu, vert, gris ou même noir font maintenant leur apparition un peu partout!</i><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqOpJycwaELslsrDpGGzTALpzoM6MfTwBIeTr7mwV-S1p7U9LMo_KbBO8WchrI-fJuLxAA4nrJJv5H1HyMCZDaehrpCcwr1FY_w5LC7O9ekhjsfJuH8XXVLHaYm-4NUOnfBYrnvpYnfqg/s1600/SFDC21B7A16D4C0430D98B45BA0226F7C3C.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="427" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqOpJycwaELslsrDpGGzTALpzoM6MfTwBIeTr7mwV-S1p7U9LMo_KbBO8WchrI-fJuLxAA4nrJJv5H1HyMCZDaehrpCcwr1FY_w5LC7O9ekhjsfJuH8XXVLHaYm-4NUOnfBYrnvpYnfqg/s1600/SFDC21B7A16D4C0430D98B45BA0226F7C3C.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7KQYKmV4SPIajZsMGCiMmjD2dZVlWZVnL82j8yaHdcvpSUZF2M5Aj89eKU8XyrnrVtAxysKP7Ic8MuS0PM5ttF5_bofXRMQRkO9eDBHRbBjfRSpSywfwCoVH9xzU9BnYHsKTkWdraO0E/s1600/SFDA706D20D5EAB41AA8D5F5DE674AB11F9.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="427" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7KQYKmV4SPIajZsMGCiMmjD2dZVlWZVnL82j8yaHdcvpSUZF2M5Aj89eKU8XyrnrVtAxysKP7Ic8MuS0PM5ttF5_bofXRMQRkO9eDBHRbBjfRSpSywfwCoVH9xzU9BnYHsKTkWdraO0E/s1600/SFDA706D20D5EAB41AA8D5F5DE674AB11F9.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />In order to keep a feeling of space and light despite the dark walls, the trick is to go for light furniture, a decluttered decoration and leave ceilings, doors and windows in white. You can also paint only the lower part of the wall or leave some walls white to avoid overloading. Details in leather, wood and rustic ceramics add warmth to the room, not to forget the green plants.<br />The great styling is done by the talented <a href="http://sarahwidman.se/" target="_blank">Sarah Widman</a> and her team for <a href="http://www.alvhemmakleri.se/hem-till-salu/obj17735_1390885741" target="_blank">Alvhem</a>.<br /><br /><i>Pour garder l'impression d'espace et de luminosité malgré les murs foncés, l'astuce consiste à opter pour un mobilier clair, une déco épurée et laisser blanc les plafonds, portes et fenêtres. All those details...
