Bye bye white walls!

You might have seen this apartment around already, but I'm showing it here anyway because it's a great example of what is happening in Scandinavia right now (well at least in Sweden): bye bye white walls, hello dark colours! Remember <a href="http://lamaisondannag.blogspot.fr/2014/09/scandinavian-kitchen-trends.html" target="_blank">this post</a> about darker colours in the kitchen? You can also paint only the lower part of the wall or leave some walls white to avoid overloading. The dollhouse office

Isn't this dollhouse office too cute? All those details... I would gladly take the same in full size :)<br />The "office" was created by Finnish stylist <a href="http://jennijuurinen.com/" target="_blank">Jenni Jurinen</a> for the <a href="http://lokalhelsinki.com/wordpress/exhibition/winter-break" target="_blank">Never Never Land exhibition</a> in Helsinki. This exhibition is dedicated to design for kids and features imaginative and playful works by various Finnish artists and designers. Until Feb 28th at gallery <a href="http://lokalhelsinki.com/" target="_blank">Lokal</a>.<br /><br /><i>Il n'est pas trop mignon ce bureau de maison de poupées? Tous ces détails... Villa Mörtnäs

The minimalist and contemporary architecture of <a href="http://www.wrede.se/objekt/448083?qt-item_tabs=1#qt-item_tabs" target="_blank">this house located close to Stockholm</a> is created by the international architecture studio <a href="http://www.fourfoursixsix.com/" target="_blank">fourfoursixsix</a>. The white and airy backdrop is warmed up by darker accents in brown, wine red, teal, green, dusty pink... a clear trend in Scandinavian interiors right now. This colour scheme is also quite <a href="http://www.pantone.com/pages/index.aspx?pg=21163&from=hp" target="_blank">in line with Pantone's colour for 2015: Marsala</a>.<br /><br /><i>L'architecture minimaliste et contemporaine de <a href="http://www.wrede.se/objekt/448083?qt-item_tabs=1#qt-item_tabs" target="_blank">cette maison située près du Stockholm</a> a été créée par le studio d'architecture international <a href="http://www.fourfoursixsix.com/" target="_blank">fourfoursixsix</a>. Le fond blanc et aéré est réchauffé par des accents plus foncés en brun, bordeaux, bleu canard, vert, rose grisé... une vraie tendance dans les intérieurs scandinaves en ce moment. Bemz Design Award 2014

<div>Dans le but d'encourager et inspirer des designers textile futurs, <a href="http://www.bemz.fr/fr-fr/" target="_blank">Bemz </a>a lancé <a href="http://www.bemz.fr/en/DesignAward/" target="_blank">un concours</a> où les étudiants de différentes écoles de design à travers l'Europe pourraient voir leur création éditée par la marque suédoise (spécialiste des housses adaptées aux canapés, chaises et lits IKEA).<br /><br />J'ai eu l'honneur de participer au <a href="http://www.bemz.fr/en/designaward/members-of-the-judging-panel/" target="_blank">jury français</a>, en très belle compagnie <a href="http://www.bemz.fr/en/designaward/members-of-the-judging-panel/" target="_blank">comme vous pouvez le voir ici</a>, et nous avons eu la difficile tâche de pré-sélectionner trois candidats pour représenter la France.</div><div><br /></div><div><b><a href="http://www.bemz.fr/en/designaward/vote-now/" target="_blank">Il est maintenant au public de voter pour leur préféré!</a></b> Le gagnant de chaque pays verra l'un des ses motifs édité par Bemz et participera également à la grande finale européenne. Le grand gagnant du Bemz Design Award 2014 verra 3 de ses motifs édités par Bemz.</div><div><br /></div><div><i>In order to encourage and inspire future textile designers, <a href="http://www.bemz.fr/en/" target="_blank">Bemz </a>has launched <a href="http://www.bemz.fr/en/DesignAward/" target="_blank">a contest</a> where students from major design schools across Europe might see their design being edited by the Swedish brand (specialising in custom made covers for IKEA sofas, chairs, beds and more).</i><br /><i><br /></i><i>I had the honor of participating in the <a href="http://www.bemz.fr/en/designaward/members-of-the-judging-panel/" target="_blank">French jury</a>, in lovely compagnie <a href="http://www.bemz.fr/en/designaward/members-of-the-judging-panel/" target="_blank">as you can see here</a>, and we had the difficult task of pre-selecting three candidates to represent France.</i></div><div><i><br /></i></div><div><i><b><a href="http://www.bemz.fr/en/designaward/vote-now/" target="_blank">It's now up to the public to vote for their favourite!</a></b> The winner from each country will have one of their entries edited by Bemz and will also participate in the European final.
