About a week ago, I shared our master bedroom mood board, which I'm pretty excited about. And since our renovation has officially begun, I was past-due in making some of our bathroom decisions, so it was time to get a move on!

I don't know about anyone else, but I need a mood board to determine if I like how a room is going to turn out. I need to visually see the colors, patterns and textures together before I know if they actually look good together. So after some procrastination, I'm finally ready to share our Master Bathroom mood board - including a lot of things that have been ordered and are on their way!

Let's start with our master bathroom color palette, which stems from our whole home color palette. Since we'll have bright colors throughout the remainder of the house, we decided to keep it a little more muted in the bathroom. Lots of neutrals, and small pops of pink.

And here's how this translates to the form and function of the room, complete with a couple of not-so-beautiful sketches that I threw together.  Master Bath Mood BoardBathroom Mood Board 2
Patterned Valence // I haven't decided on the exact pattern or color of this valence yet, but I know that a valance would look much better than curtains. And because of that, we'll be frosting the window so our neighbors don't get a peep show.

Simple Artwork // I'm a sucker for beautiful artwork but I'm not going to fork over the dollars for it. I'd rather save our money for our killer shower! So instead of buying artwork, I'll be DIY'ing it all.

Dark, Rectangular Shower Tile //  This dark, rectangular shower tile was an obvious choice for me. It's beautiful and modern, and was a great price with The Tile Shop.

Dark, Hexagon Shower Floor Tile // With a rectangular shower tile and a rectangular floor tile, we wanted to break up the shapes for our shower floor, so we're using a hex pattern in the same black color.

Small pops of pink // From vases to flowers to floor mats, we'll have small pops of pink throughout the room to help tie it all together.

Modern Fixtures // While fixtures is one of the places I'm hoping to save some dough, I need to make sure that the fixtures match rest of the modern room.

Beautiful Glass Door // We found a beautiful white glass door at Home Depot very similar to this image which I think will look beautiful in this space.

Floating Vanity // This was my #1 must-have for the space. I knew I wanted a dark wooden vanity, and I knew it had to be floating. This thing is gorgeous.

Oversized Floor Tile // Again, The Tile Shop really came through with some beautiful floor tile that I'm absolutely loving. I hear that this tile can look grey or could look brown depending on the wall color you place it in.

So what do you think? Has my procrastination (and over-thinking) been worth it? Do you think everything works well together? And who else thinks Justin is a pretty awesome husband for letting me have so much pink in our house?!?
