Maison&Objet #2 Influences from the 70's

Are you ready for terracotta, cork and rustic ceramics again? Influences from the 70's were clearly visible at the latest <a href="http://www.maison-objet.com/fr/paris" target="_blank">Maison&Objet</a>. The different collections of of tableware, pots and vases, lamps and furniture showed that these materials from the past actually adapt very well to 2015's more clean design.<br /><br /><i>Vous êtes prêts pour le retour de la terre cuite, le liège et les céramiques rustiques? L'influence des années 70 était bien visible au dernier <a href="http://www.maison-objet.com/fr/paris" target="_blank">Maison&Objet</a>. I'm finally back after the longest blog break in history, and I have loads of things to show you! First of all, I just returned from an inspiring trip to <a href="http://www.stockholmfurniturelightfair.se/" target="_blank">Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair</a> / <a href="http://www.stockholmdesignweek.com/" target="_blank">Design Week</a> where I saw some great new design. Prior to that, I also spent two whole days exploring the latest trends at <a href="http://www.maison-objet.com/fr" target="_blank">Maison & Objet</a> here in Paris. As a result I now have hundreds and hundreds of photos to sort...<br /><br />But before telling you more about all that, I wanted to show you a few pictures from an event that took place in Stockholm this week (just after I'd left unfortunately): international designer <a href="http://www.studioilse.com/" target="_blank">Ilse Crawford</a>, who was also Guest of Honor at the Furniture fair, presented a sneak peek of her new collection for <a href="http://www.ikea.com/" target="_blank">IKEA</a>!<br /><br /><i>Je suis enfin de retour après la plus longue blog pause de l'histoire, et j'ai plein de choses à vous montrer! Focus is on natural materials like cork, glass and rustic ceramics, including tables, stools, a daybed, lamps, bottles, pots, baskets...<br />The collection will be launched in the Swedish IKEA stores in August, and now I'm just hoping that it will also reach stores worldwide?!<br /><br /><i>Présentée à <a href="http://www.etthem.se/" target="_blank">Ett Hem</a>, un superbe hôtel dans le centre de Stockholm dont la décoration est également signée <a href="http://www.studioilse.com/" target="_blank">Studioilse</a>, la collection contient 37 pièces de mobilier et d'accessoires. Black/white/wood/grey and a green plant

I ran into this beautiful home on <a href="http://www.hemnet.se/inspiration" target="_blank">Hemnet </a>tonight and I'm pretty sure it belongs to Swedish ceramist Kajsa Cramer (whose stunning ceramics you can also find <a href="http://www.lamaisondannag.com/fr/28_kajsa-cramer" target="_blank">in my shop</a>). I really like the graphic black & white look, softened by different kinds of wood, shades of grey and refreshing green plants. The house is <a href="http://www.lundin.se/bilder.aspx?guid=492K3GNHOFSKGOLB&typ=CMVilla" target="_blank">for sale here.</a><br /><br /><i>Je suis tombée sur cette belle maison sur <a href="http://www.hemnet.se/inspiration" target="_blank">Hemnet </a>ce soir and il me semble qu'elle appartient à la céramiste suédoise Kajsa Cramer (dont les superbe céramiques sont aussi disponibles <a href="http://www.lamaisondannag.com/fr/28_kajsa-cramer" target="_blank">dans mon shop</a>). J'aime beaucoup le look graphique en noir & blanc, adouci par différentes essences de bois, des nuances de gris et des plantes vertes rafraîchissantes. <div>Dans la catégorie mieux vaut tard que jamais, voici la 2ème partie de mon résumé de <a href="http://www.formex.se/" target="_blank">Formex</a>! Vous pouvez <a href="http://lamaisondannag.blogspot.fr/2014/01/formex-day-dream.html" target="_blank">voir la 1ère partie ici</a>.<br />Globalement, la nature avait envahi le salon, avec de la verdure partout. J'ai vu du verre coloré à l'ancienne en vert et ambre, beaucoup de céramiques et aussi du marbre et d'autres pierres. Un peu moins de cuivre qu'au dernier salon, mais pas mal de laiton. Les motifs graphiques sont toujours là, mais également des motifs plus ethniques ou florales. J'ai vu plus de couleurs qu'au dernier salon, peut-être signe d'un certain optimisme général?
