Lately I've become a wee bit obsessed with finding art for our home. Most recently I happened across this painting by François Fournier, a Canadian painter who sells on Etsy - I had it in my favourites for awhile and decided to snatch it up - it was really quite affordable. I loved the sheep in the field - it reminded me of my Mom, and a trip that we had taken as a family to Blenheim Palace, a stop in a tour around London, England and Oxford.

When it arrived, the painting was even more lovely in person - but I was stumped as to how to display it, as it was simply on a board. Framing is quite expensive, and not in my budget so I decided to just see, for fun - how it would look in an Ikea frame behind coloured matting - and I love it. It takes what could be a formal painting and adds a little fun.

It's nice because I can easily switch the matting should my tastes change. No big investment and therefore no big deal if I want to change it out. Anyhow, It will be going in our living room which is going through a big transformation from when you saw it last. :)
